I hitched a ride from Rainbow Beach to Airlie beach with a friend I met at a bar in 
Rainbow. His 
name was Joel, and as it turned out he drove a tour bus. However, he was not doing a tour this time. He was simply relocating a bus to Airlie Beach where it was needed. So instead of driving the 11 hours alone he offered to take me! This kicked butt as it saved me major money on a bus ticket and I had my own private tour guide! We stopped a few times along the way and he showed me some cool 
spots. It was pretty good :)
